The Costa Rica Crocodile tours Jaco is actually located 25 minutes north of Jaco Beach, the adventure takes place in the Rio Grande de Tarcoles, one of the four rivers that flow into the Nicoya Peninsula and home to one of the world's largest populations of crocodiles in Central America, called the American Crocodile some of the oldest reach the 18 feet long, which our guide will feed with it own hands and play with them off the boat and on the side of the river, get your camera ready for awesome pictures. Besides watching incredible Crocodiles you will see a large variety of exotic birds that can be seen on the Tarcoles river including the gorgeous scarlet macaw, a variety of resident and migratory waterfowl, Iguanas and Jesus Christ lizards are very common. The tour lasts approximately two hours and is lead by a friendly bilingual guide that provides excellent guidance and introduction about crocodiles and other animals associated to the mangrove. The boat makes a tour along the Estero, river a most impressive mangrove ecosystem that features four different species of mangrove trees.
